The main task of the Department of Project Preparation and Implementation is the coordination of project activities and provision of engineering activities.

The Department of Project Preparation and Implementation organizationally falls within the competence of the Vice-Rector for Development.

The Department of Project Preparation and Implementation has two departments: Project Department and Department of Investment.

The main task of the Project Department is to prepare and implement university projects from European Union funds, projects from subsidies from individual ministries and other sources, and to mediate cooperation with partner organizations with subsequent support in the preparation and implementation of projects.

The main task of the Department of Investment is the preparation of project documentation and provision of engineering activities.

The Head of the Department of Project Preparation and Implementation and Project Department are located in building AA, offices AA 27, AA 29, AA 31, AA 33. Department of Investment is located in building HB, office no. 125.

Preparation, implementation and realization of university projects funded with EU Structural Funds and grant funds.

Preparation of projects aimed at development of UNIZA infrastructure in accordance with the Long-term Plan of the University of Žilina for 2014-2020.

Monitoring, analysis and information about published calls for proposals of projects under EU operational programmes and grant programmes in terms of the possibility of the use at UNIZA.

Communication with faculties and individual parts of UNIZA in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of projects, administrative support and counselling to help them comply with the relevant legislation.

The list of submitted requests for NRG and approved projects in individual calls for the whole university and for individual faculties and parts of the University of Žilina.

Preparation and implementation of investment operations within the entire University of Žilina and construction supervision.

Administrative provision of the entire project implementation process, from the preparation of the documents for competition up to the inclusion in assets.

Preparation of factual project documentation and budget for investment operations.

Provision of building permits and final building approvals for planned or realized investment operations.
