2. Definition of the HPaIP field
a Name and definition of the content of the HPaIP field

The main themes of core knowledge of the study area are the mathematic base of informatics, the theoretical background of informatics, programming, program and computer systems, development of models and systems in information science as well as information and communication technologies for various application domains, economic, social, moral and legal aspects of the profession. 
In the case of study programs focused on specific application domains, basic knowledge related to these domains are part of the core knowledge. The core knowledge also includes advanced methods in recognized areas of informatics.

An applicant for HKaIK masters and is able to select specific scientific methods for basic and applied research in the study area. Has extensive knowledge in multiple specific areas of the study area, which are the basis for work in research and development as well as the creation of novel knowledge in the area of informatics, in cooperation with experts in didactics including the issues of teaching informatics.

An applicant for HKaIK is able to formulate novel hypotheses and strategies for future research as well as the development of the study programme. He/She is able to apply outcomes of his/her theoretical analysis and outcomes of complex research to solve problems in the area of informatics. He/She practically masters selected methods of scientific research and uses them in search of new knowledge, technologies and important systemic links. He/She can formulate research results and achieve international recognition. He/She is able to design, verify and implement new research and working procedures, based on his/her outputs and findings.

The applicant for HKaIK is characterized by independent, critical and analytical thinking, which he/she applies in changing conditions. He/She can independently find solutions to complex problems and present the results of research and development to the scientific community and the professional community in the Slovak Republic and abroad. He/She is able to coordinate a team in the relevant field. He/She takes into account social, scientific and ethical aspects when formulating research intentions and interpreting research results.

5. Level of research, artistic and other activities in the HPaIP field and level of quality culture of UNIZA
a List of the most significant 25 outputs of a group of 5 persons documenting the implementation of long-term and continuous research, artistic and other activities in the HPaIP field, the intensity and extend of which correspond to the nature of these proceedings and whose results are on an internationally significant level.
