The HPaIP field of Energy Machines and Equipment is assigned to the study department 36. Mechanical Engineering.

The field of Mechanical Engineering includes knowledge related to a wide range of knowledge in the field of theory of mechanics and construction of machines of various purposes, engineering and production technologies, mechanical metrology and engineering and quality management, automation technology, information technology in technology as well as process and industrial engineering, materials , energy, environmental, safety technology and other areas of engineering production.
The main topics of the core knowledge of the field of study are the following areas: applied mechanics, machine parts and mechanisms, engineering and production technologies, materials, material limit states as a theoretical basis for machine design, industrial engineering and production quality.
The acquired knowledge can be applied, for example, to areas of all types of production, transport or energy machinery and equipment, such as motor vehicles, rail vehicles, ships or aircraft, as well as production, agricultural and forestry technology, but also engineering technologies, materials and limit states of materials, microtechnology and nanotechnology, construction of machine tools and tools, environmental technology, automation and robotic lines and equipment, process technology, production technologies, industrial engineering, measurement, metrology, safety of technical systems, quality assurance of processes, products and services and similarly.

Applicant for the title of doc. / prof. in the field of HPaIP Energy Machines and Equipment should have extensive expertise in several areas of MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, which serves as a basis for conducting research and development and creating new knowledge in the field of energy technologies and environmental technology.
• Can choose specific scientific methods of basic and applied research in the efficient use of renewable energy sources by best available techniques, in numerical modeling of heat transfer and heat conversion, in transfer phenomena and processes in energy technology, in thermomechanical principles of heat engines, cooling and heating in energy technology, etc.
• Can formulate new hypotheses and strategies for further research and development of the field of study MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.
• He applies his own findings of his theoretical analysis and his complex scientific research in solving problems in the field of mechanical engineering.
• Based on its outputs and findings, it is able to design, verify and implement new research and working procedures.
• Practically masters the chosen research methods and uses them in the development of new technological processes and technologies, technical details and important interactive system links.
• Even with computer support, can perform research, optimization, analysis, modeling, measurement, data collection and processing.
• It is characterized by independent, critical and analytical thinking, which it applies in changing conditions.
• Presents the results of research and development to the professional community in the Slovak Republic and abroad.
• It takes into account social, scientific and ethical aspects when formulating research intentions and interpreting research results.
• Can determine the focus of research and coordinate the team in the relevant scientific field.

5. Level of research, artistic and other activities in the HPaIP field and level of quality culture of UNIZA
a List of the most significant 25 outputs of a group of 5 persons documenting the implementation of long-term and continuous research, artistic and other activities in the HPaIP field, the intensity and extend of which correspond to the nature of these proceedings and whose results are on an internationally significant level.
